Position Summary: The Kids Ministry assistant works with the broader Athey Kids Ministry team and is responsible for supporting the vision, development, and execution of the Kids Ministry program. Required Experience & Knowledge Agree to ACC’s doctrinal distinctive and vision as found in our What We Believe/Vision Statement Fulfill the character qualifications of a deacon as taught in scripture Possess strong written and verbal interpersonal communication skills Demonstrate kindness, humility, and self-awareness in interactions with others A love and calling toward ministry to children and families Ability to adapt and thrive in a rapidly changing, dynamic environment Proven ability to problem-solve and multitask Attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks and projects Self-motivated with excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management skills Duties & Responsibilities Participate in weekly staff meetings and special events as needed Engage as part of a team with Athey Creek staff, always being edifying to one another Assist Athey Kids Coordinator with class preparation and management Support all aspects of the kids ministry experience under the direction of the Kids Ministry Director Assist with administrative tasks, organizational tasks and meeting other needs of the ministry Welcome and assist new families with check-in, policies, and questions Keep classroom inventory organized and well-stocked between services Assist in organizing and cleaning of all spaces and equipment in the children’s area Copy and prepare curriculum for all campuses, both digital and print Assist in classrooms as needed Open and close all kids classrooms for every service Assist with campus-wide events (Harvest party, VBS, etc.) that fall outside regular program hours Build positive, supportive, and professional relationships with families All other duties as assigned
Responsibilities
Supports the vision and execution of the Kids Ministry program by assisting with class preparation, administrative tasks, and classroom management. Responsibilities include welcoming families, managing inventory, and helping with campus-wide events.
