Description The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is seeking a Kids Theatre Instructor to lead interactive theatre classes that foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence. Classes are held on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm in scheduled sessions. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing YMCA located just five miles west of New York City in the waterfront city of Perth Amboy. Since 1912, the Raritan Bay Area YMCA has proudly served the evolving needs of our community. Role Summary: The Kids Theatre Instructor will guide participants through creative theatre experiences, encouraging imagination, storytelling, and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment. Requirements Minimum 18 years of age Experience teaching theatre, performing arts, or creative movement to children Knowledge of theatre fundamentals, creative movement, and age-appropriate activities CPR/AED certified or willing to obtain

Responsibilities

The Kids Theatre Instructor will plan and deliver age-appropriate theatre and movement lessons to foster creativity and confidence. They are also responsible for maintaining a safe classroom environment and communicating student progress to parents and staff.
