Description

We are looking for a responsible and enthusiastic driver to operate our trackless train for kids. The train is operated at an outdoor mall. The driver will be responsible for ensuring the safe and enjoyable operation of the train and providing a fun and memorable experience for our young passengers.
Additionally, the driver will also be responsible collecting payments, issuing tickets and helping the kids on and off the train. This is a seasonal part time position that runs from September to December.

Availability:

  • Must be available for full day weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Must be available for at least 20+ hours per week.
  • Required to work some weekdays (Monday - Thursday) from 12-9pm.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate and drive the trackless train ride, following predetermined routes
  • Greet passengers with a smile and collect tickets or fares
  • Follow management’s creating an experience guidelines for the passengers
  • Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for the passengers
  • Operate the trackless train safely and efficiently
  • Ensure the safety of passengers and obey traffic laws
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the train
  • Report any issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor
  • Follow all company & mall policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in North American customer service, amusement, hospitality, or retail.
  • Strong verbal communication skills (fluent English required).
  • Must be at least 19 years old and have a G2 license or above
  • Comfortable with working outdoors
  • Previous experience with kids is a plus
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Friendly and outgoing personality
  • Be comfortable taking pictures with children
  • Physical ability to climb aboard the train and assist passengers as needed and ability to lift up to 20lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations calmly
  • Experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends
  • Must be able to work all statutory holidays
  • Ability to pass a background check
