Victory Life Church  Kid Volunteer Coordinator REPORTS TO: Kids Pastor CLASSIFICATION: Part-time / TMP   ROLE SUMMARY Oversees and supports kids ministry volunteers through recruiting, scheduling, training, and care while ensuring policy compliance and helping create a safe, excellent environment for children and families.   PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES * Collaborate with the Kids Pastor and the Kids Admin to ensure that VLC has a well-functioning and excellent kids ministry that makes parents feel secure and confident in entrusting their children to its care. * Caring for kids ministry volunteers, including scheduling, recruiting, and training kids ministry volunteers * Ensuring the Minor Protection Policy is understood and carefully followed by the kids team. * Ensuring that the volunteer experience is a positive one by monitoring the classrooms, solving issues, and supporting the teachers as they minister to the children.  * Fill in for the kids pastor when they are unable to be at a service. * Performs other duties as assigned.   KEY STRENGTHS FOR SUCCESS * Spiritual Leadership – Discipleship Influence: Models a growing relationship with Christ and supports a culture of spiritual health through personal example and alignment with biblical values. * Administrative – Organizational Effectiveness: Maintains organization through effective planning, coordination, and follow-through on established systems and responsibilities. * Teamwork and Collaboration: Leads teams by building trust, developing people, aligning efforts, and driving results through clear communication and intentional leadership. * Innovation and Problem Solving: Regularly identifies opportunities for improvement and develops creative, effective solutions that enhance outcomes and move initiatives forward. * Task Focused: Takes full ownership of responsibilities, consistently and reliably delivering high-quality, skilled work with strong attention to detail, appropriate urgency, and reliability with minimal oversight. * Stewardship & Compliance:  Leads the charge on stewardship and protecting the ministry and the congregation. Above reproach.   QUALIFICATIONS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS * [Preferred] education in caring for children * [Preferred] Strong written and verbal communication skills  * [Required] Experience leading a team * [Required] Experience working with children * Experience leading in a quick-paced environment with confidence and clarity. * Confident, able to connect with others easily. * Has good organizational skills. * Must have a good eye for cleanliness and be skilled at cleaning. * Able to maintain a steady pace with attention to detail while working with minimal supervision. SALARY STATEMENT * Compensation for this position is $14 per hour.    WORK SCHEDULE * 15 hours a week.  Sunday| 7-2pm, Wednesday| 5-8pm, and 5 more hours throughout the week.    COMPLIANCE NOTICE PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS * This position requires moderate physical activity, including regularly lifting and carrying up to 25–35 pounds, along with frequent standing, walking, bending, and squatting. The role involves active engagement in both structured and dynamic settings, requiring attentiveness, mobility, and the ability to respond quickly. Work is primarily indoors with occasional outdoor activities and includes exposure to moderate noise levels.
