Currently we are looking for a new team member to join our Pepco Team as a:

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Min. 5 years of experience in lease management, financial reporting, or related fields.
  • Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial reports, journal entries, and compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17 (preferred in SSC or BPO environments).
  • Proven experience in managing teams and driving high performance.
  • Demonstrated experience centralizing and standardizing lease management processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or similar accounting certification preferred.
  • Fluency in English is essential (min. B2 - written and verbal).
  • In-depth knowledge of lease accounting standards, financial reporting, and understanding of forecasting/budgeting processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to challenge existing processes and recommend improvements.
  • Resilient and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to build trusted and credible relationships with multiple stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Manage the lease lifecycle, including uploading contracts, amendments, and terminations into the lease management system, reviewing and validating lease data for completeness and accuracy, reconciling data between systems and clarifying discrepancies.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly journal entries for IFRS 16 and IAS 17 adjustments.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and review of financial reports and required disclosures, in compliance with IFRS 16 and IAS 17, including lease schedules, ROU asset calculations, and lease liability adjustment.
  • Collaborate with Property, Accounting, Reporting, FP&A, Commercial Finance and Legal teams, to address lease-related reporting requirements and resolve discrepancies. Additionally, to support the forecasting and budgeting process by providing detailed lease-related data, analytics, and insights.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with lease accounting standards and clarifying all audit queries related to lease management.
  • Oversee the successful implementation of the system and its integration with another system.
  • Act as the system owner, responsible for continuous improvement of the tool, managing system upgrades and resolving technical issues in collaboration with IT and vendors, providing training, documentation, and ongoing support.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance lease management processes.
  • Lead the rollout of centralized lease management processes, defining standard operating procedures and ensuring their adoption across all Pepco countries.
  • Build, manage, and develop a high-performing lease management team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and target operating model.
  • Maintain strong data governance by conducting regular audits, reconciliations, and accuracy checks on lease data.
