DESCRIPTION

THE ROLE: Diamond Hills Preschool are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Teacher and Educational Leader to join our team for the commencement of the 2026 school year. The position will require you to develop, plan, document and implement a high-quality educational program for EITHER one of our 3 Year Old or 4 Year Old groups (one vacancy). It will also include providing leadership and support to our staffing team. The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in the ability to plan, work and manage time effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with children, the committee of management (employer), families, other staff and professionals.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have the ability to work in a cooperative, flexible and professional manner with children, parents, staff and the Committee of Management
  • Be able to ensure confidentiality of information and adhere to Diamond Hills Preschool’s Code of Conduct and the Child Safe Standards.
  • Have a strong ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive culture within the kindergarten through respectful relationships.
  • Have a strong emphasis on play-based learning and sustainable practices with a commitment to providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for all children.
  • Be passionate about authentic indoor and outdoor play programs and comfortable working with both our children and their families in a warm and trusting manner.
  • Have experience in working with children with additional needs, with a commitment to the inclusion and cultural safety for all children and families.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of NQS Assessment and Ratings and related regulatory standards and requirements.
  • Be highly motivated and committed to further professional learning and attend and actively participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Educational Leader Responsibilities:

  • Provide pedagogical leadership
  • Coaching, mentoring and supervising staffing team
  • Facilitating regular staff meetings
  • Lead the development and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan
  • Comply with, and supporting other educators to comply with, service policies and legislation, including commitment to embedding Child Safe Standards
