What You’ll Do As our Kindergarten Lead Teacher, you will: • Design and deliver engaging, hands-on learning experiences that spark curiosity and ownership of learning • Foster a joyful, safe, and inclusive classroom where every child feels known and supported • Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of developmental and learning needs • Build strong partnerships with families through consistent, thoughtful communication • Collaborate closely with teaching assistants, specialists, and colleagues to support each child’s growth • Track student progress through meaningful assessment and documentation • Nurture social-emotional development alongside academic growth • Contribute to a vibrant school community through meetings, events, and ongoing professional learning Who You Are You are a reflective, student-centered educator who: • Creates a warm, structured, and engaging learning environment • Values play, inquiry, and exploration as essential to early childhood education • Is skilled at building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues • Brings strong organization and communication skills • Embraces collaboration and continuous growth • Has experience, or interest, in multisensory approaches such as Orton Gillingham or Handwriting Without Tears What You Bring • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s preferred • Experience in early childhood or elementary education • A passion for developing the whole child, academically, socially, and emotionally • A commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming classroom community About The Walker School The Walker School is a premier independent school in metro Atlanta serving students from Pre K3 through Grade 12.
