Description Position Title: Teacher Status: Full-Time, Exempt Reports to: Principal Position Overview: We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and faith-filled Kindergarten Teacher to join our Catholic school community. The ideal candidate will create a joyful, nurturing, and structured classroom environment where young learners can grow academically, socially, and spiritually. This teacher will play a foundational role in helping students develop a love for learning while introducing them to the values and traditions of the Catholic faith. Candidates are not required to be Catholic. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate instruction in early literacy, math, science, and social studies Foster early reading and writing skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences Create a warm, safe, and structured classroom environment that supports young learners Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and Gospel values into daily classroom life Support students in developing social skills such as sharing, cooperation, and kindness Differentiate instruction to meet a wide range of developmental needs Use ongoing assessment to monitor student progress and guide instruction Maintain consistent communication with parents/guardians Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and administration Participate in school Masses, prayer services, and community events Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field Valid teaching certification (state licensure required) Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education Practicing Catholic preferred or willingness to support the Catholic identity of the school Strong classroom management and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience teaching Kindergarten or early childhood education Knowledge of early literacy development and foundational math skills Ability to create engaging, play-based and hands-on learning opportunities Experience differentiating instruction for young learners What We Offer: A supportive and faith-centered school community Opportunities for professional growth and development Collaborative and mission-driven staff The opportunity to shape students’ first school experiences in a meaningful way Note: All employees are required to consent to a background check, commit to our Code of Conduct policy, and complete online and in-person trainings prior to hire.
