JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Developing training programs based on the individual assessment of residents, inpatients, and outpatients of Atikokan Health and Community Services.
• Helping individuals set objectives and motivating them to reach those goals.
• Assist recreational coordinator in the execution of programs for extended care residents.
• Provide assistance to alternative levels of care for patients in the acute ward for mobility and other issues
• Facilitate the cardiac rehabilitation of their clients.
• Supporting the kinesiologist in running various programs such as our chronic disease program.
• Assisting in any other tasks and responsibilities as needed on a day-to-day basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The applicant must be a recent graduate, with a Degree in Kinesiology or recognized equivalency. The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills and will be able to work independently and as part of a team. The position will provide first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.
