Description Job Title: Kit Assembler Department: Kit Assembly Location: Chestertown, MD Reports To: Operations Supervisor Pay Rate: $17-18/hr _______________________________________________________________________ Qualifications: Must be able to read, understand, and follow detailed instructions accurately; transport up to 30 pounds; use a glue gun; and work in close proximity to team members when working in a cell. Schedule & Hours: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday, 7am - 3:15pm. Duties and Responsibilities: · Prepares test kit boxes by assembling/taping cardboard boxes and mailers, or gluing foam into cases. · Assembles test kits and refill kits as specified by written instructions and diagrams. · Assembles subassemblies used in test kits. · Use Pick Lists to pick material for kits to be assembled. · Key in Pick Lists in the computer using Kinetic software and basic use of Excel spreadsheets. · Assists in other Production Department activities as needed, including participating in lean manufacturing team activities, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and following company safety initiatives. · Rotates to and works in other Production Departments as needed. · Participate in all of the department’s lean activities, including but not limited to: lean events, kaizen, 5-S program, DMAICs, etc. Miscellaneous: · Complies with all Company policies (i.e. personnel, safety, etc.). · Performs other duties as assigned. Requirements Environmental Factors/Physical/Mental Capabilities: Works indoors in temperature-controlled environment. Requires walking, standing, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, pulling, occasional use of a step stool, transporting up to 30 pounds and good dexterity.
