We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Kitchen and Bathroom Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of kitchen and bath design principles and be proficient in various design software. This role involves collaborating with clients to create functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces that reflect their vision and needs. The Kitchen and Bathroom Designer will be responsible for assisting customers (homeowners, designer, builders and architects) with selecting materials, drafting plans and overseeing the specification of products. The designer will have product knowledge and experience with tile, cabinetry, countertops, hardware and lighting. This position is for a retail focus design studio with an emphasis on kitchen and bath design.
Responsibilities
*Collaborate with clients to understand their design preferences, needs, and budget constraints.
*Draft floor plans, elevations, renderings and specifications for remodeling projects.
*Select color palettes, materials, furnishings, lighting, etc. that align with the overall design vision.
*Prepare presentations for clients that effectively communicate design ideas and concepts.
*Work as part of a design team environment, supporting clients, other purchasing designer, architects and builders with material selections and specification.
*Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to provide innovative solutions in interior design. experience in kitchen and/or bathroom design.
*Proficiency in CAD/interior design software is essential; experience with Chief Architect is a plus. Strong knowledge of color theory, tile design, cabinetry and other building materials.
*Excellent communication and organizational skills with a focus on sales and client relations. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
