JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that food preparation and service run smoothly. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
  • Experience with meal preparation and food preparation techniques.
  • Culinary experience is an advantage, particularly in catering or cooking roles.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
  • Excellent teamwork skills, with a positive attitude towards learning from others.
  • DBS must has to be on the update service.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: From £12.21 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
  • Support chefs with cooking tasks, ensuring that dishes are prepared to high standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and sanitising surfaces.
  • Help with food storage, ensuring all items are labelled and stored according to food safety regulations.
  • Participate in catering events as needed, assisting with setup and serving.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
