Description

We are seeking an experienced kitchen assistant/Baker to support our existing Baker and to step up and cover their role during holidays.
Please note that this role requires some flexibility - as a rule it is a four day week but there will be an occasional Sunday required. The hours are as follows:-
Wednesday 1000 - 1700
Thursday 1000 - 1700
Friday 1000 - 1700
Saturday 1000 - 1700
Sunday - 0800 - 1600 (only on rare occasions)
We have some flexibility around start and finish times but less so the days required. Please do not apply if you cannot work these days

Key responsibilities are:-

  • Preparing food to a high standard
  • Baking cakes, scones, pie, quiche and other sweet and savoury products following specifications and recipes
  • Occasionally loading and unloading the dishwasher
  • Helping to maintain a clean kitchen throughout the day and after the shift to the required level within standard operating procedures
  • Creating order lists of food to be ordered.

The ideal candidate must have a sense of humour and be able to work independently or as part of a team, have a positive, relaxed attitude to working in a very busy environment and be able to keep up with the exceptional level of cleanliness required in the kitchen.
