Floryn House is a brand-new, purpose-built care home located in the beautiful village of Yarnton, Oxfordshire. Our luxury 73-bed home provides exceptional Residential, Dementia, Nursing and Respite care in a welcoming, homely setting where residents’ comfort and wellbeing are at the heart of everything we do.
We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. This is a key role where you will support the preparation and delivery of high-quality meals while maintaining a safe and hygienic kitchen environment that contributes to the overall dining experience for our residents.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking someone reliable, well-organised, and enthusiastic, with a willingness to work as part of a team. A basic understanding of food safety is preferred, though training will be provided. Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is an advantage but not essential — a positive attitude and commitment to supporting residents are what matter most.
ABOUT US
Floryn House is part of Care Concern Group, a family-owned, market-leading care provider with over 100 homes across the United Kingdom. We are committed to delivering outstanding care in specialist settings and creating supportive workplaces where our teams can grow and flourish.
Our five core values – Trust, Respect, Passion, Kindness, Inclusivity – define everything we do. If you share these values and want to bring your skills to a role where you are truly appreciated, we would love to hear from you
As Kitchen Assistant, you will help prepare and serve meals to a high standard, ensuring food is presented well and meets residents’ dietary needs. You will keep the kitchen clean and organised, safely store and rotate deliveries, and follow all food hygiene and safety procedures. Your role will include supporting the chef with day-to-day tasks, assisting with cleaning and sanitising equipment and surfaces, and ensuring a professional and welcoming kitchen environment.
