KITCHEN ASSISTANT

At Black Swan Care Group, we are currently looking for a kitchen assistant to work in one of our residential care facilities, Thomas Tawell House on a part time, 20 permanent contract, £12.60 per hour.
Thomas Tawell House is situated in the heart of the North side of Norwich city centre, close to shops and community facilities.

REQUIREMENTS OF A KITCHEN ASSISTANT:

• Forward thinking
• Team player
• Availability to work every other weekend
• Flexibility with working hours

• Assist the Cook with unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom. Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock. Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed.
• Assist the Cook when required with washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients and using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters.
• Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans and observing cooking times and correct temperatures. . (completing daily cleaning schedules/ documenting items cleaned)
• Assist in the preparation of meals, light snacks and drink in line with IDDSI requirements as needed (Full training provided)
