Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth running of our restaurant. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about the culinary industry and want to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and meal assembly according to recipes and portion sizes
- Help with cooking, grilling, baking, and other food preparation tasks as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
- Assist with inventory management, including receiving deliveries and stocking supplies
- Support catering operations by assisting with food preparation, setup, and cleanup for events
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
Note: This is a paid position. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process.
