PART TIME AND CASUAL POSITIONS AVAILABLE

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Cook / Kitchen Assistants to join our amazing team at the newly refurbished Cafe Fresco, based within the Readmans retail store in the village of Birkenshaw. Cafe Fresco is an extremely successful and well established Cafe and we pride ourselves on providing excellent food and customer service
Cafe Fresco is perfectly located on the A58, just 15 minutes from both Leeds & Bradford.
The successful candidate will be confident, self-motivated and proactive with previous experience gained within a similar fast-paced catering environment. It is essential to possess a real passion for creating good food to a high standard with quality-sourced ingredients, whilst remaining commercially focused, and ensuring excellent customer service
The Part Time Roles available are between 12-20 hrs per week. This will include a combination of weekday & weekend work (upto 3 weekend days in 8) 9am- 4.30pm.
If you would prefer not to be tied to particular hours and pick up shifts as and when to cover holidays and sick we are also looking for casual team members. Please advise what position/ hours you are looking for on your covering letter
Pay rate £12.21/hr

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Previous experience working as a cook / kitchen assistant in a cafe or commercial kitchen
  • Ability to work weekends (up to 3 weekend days per month) and be flexible to overtime
  • Barista training prefered but not essential

Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation & Kitchen Service - Previous experience in a kitchen role is preffered
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all surfaces and equipment are sanitised according to food safety standards.
  • Follow food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure the highest quality of food is served.
  • Manage inventory by checking stock levels, performing stock rotation and assisting with the ordering of supplies as needed
  • Ensuring the cafe maintains high hygiene levels and adheres to SFBB
  • Serving of food and beverages to customers in a professional manner.
  • Barista duties using a manual coffee machine.
  • Cashier duties.
  • Cleaning and deep cleaning of catering equipment and food service areas including customer areas.
  • Washing up & managing the dishwashing section.
  • Accepting catering deliveries and processing.
  • Any other duties required by the Manager.
