ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Food Hygiene Level 1 or 2 certificate (training can be provided if necessary).

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our team at County Hall. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our catering service. You’ll work as part of a friendly team to ensure meals are prepared and served to a high standard in a clean and safe environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist with basic food preparation under supervision (e.g., peeling, chopping, plating).
• Serve food to staff and/or visitors during mealtimes.
• Wash dishes and clean kitchen equipment.
• Keep the kitchen and food preparation areas clean and hygienic.
• Follow food safety, health and hygiene regulations.
• Support kitchen staff and supervisors with general duties as needed.
