LOCATION: KINGSTON, SURREY

CHD Living is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated kitchen assistant to support our chef and service users at our care home in Kingston, Surrey, to maintain a high standard of food preparation and cleanliness in the kitchen.
Established in 1984, CHD Living is are a family-owned group of care services in Surrey and South London where we offer person-centred care from a friendly team.

• Assisting in the preparation of food as directed by the chef.
• Maintaining high standards to meet requirements as set out by the Environment Health (EHO), and Food and Safety Act 1990
• To be aware of the residents’ dietary requirements.
• To ensure good standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained throughout the kitchen and associated areas as per legislative and CHD requirements.
• To manage related duties such as washing up, setting tables, serving meals and beverages.
• To maintain stock control/rotation of stock.
• To ensure correct storage of foods including correct temperatures with accurate record keeping.
  It would be helpful to have a basic knowledge of food preparation and food hygiene however full training will be given – so we are keen to speak to anyone who likes a kitchen environment, who is interested and passionate about food and who cares about others.
