Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, washing, and peeling vegetables and fruits.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and surfaces before and after use.
  • Ensure that all food storage areas are kept tidy and organized.
  • Help in the preparation of basic food items, such as sauces, salads, and side dishes.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including food hygiene standards.
  • Wash dishes and kitchen tools, ensuring they are ready for the next use.
  • Assist in managing the stock, including labeling and organizing inventory.
  • Take instructions from chefs and kitchen staff to ensure the smooth flow of kitchen operations.
  • Support the kitchen team during busy periods to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
  • Ensure waste is disposed of correctly and reduce wastage wherever possible.
  • Help with deliveries and storing food items when needed.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment is a plus but not essential.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently.
  • A positive, can-do attitude and willingness to learn.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Casual
Pay: $16.00-$17.00 per hour
