We’re on the search for an experienced Kitchen assistant/cook for our growing Caribbean Café opening soon in Chelmsford. Come join us!
The role is simple…to prepare the finest food to wow every customer.
This is a permanent position, with a competitive starting salary, pension scheme, food discounts, and the opportunity to progress.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Cooking and preparing meals
  • Running the operations of the café through effective planning, communication and organising
  • Be capable of dealing with challenging situations promptly and with professionalism
  • To ensure the food is always presented in a way that reflects high standards
  • Look for continual improvement in standards, and generate new ideas
  • Implementing risk assessments and cleaning procedures

You must have:

  • Previous experience of a least 1 year working in a similar chef role
  • Passion for Food and Beverage service
  • Hands on approach with an excitement for delivering great food
  • Good organisational skills with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong work ethic and desire to progress
  • Creativity-to drive the business forward
  • You will be required to work 20-40 hours per week. part time hours will be considered. Flexibility is a must!
