ABOUT THE ROLE

Hollymount Dementia Care Centre is looking for a friendly and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This role offers flexible daytime hours, perfect for someone who values work–life balance. Typical shifts run from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm, with flexibility around our Breakfast Club times.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our chefs and cooks with meal preparation, organisation, and service. You’ll also help create a welcoming dining experience for our residents by serving meals and assisting front of house during meal times.

Working under the guidance of our Cook or Chef Manager, you’ll ensure the kitchen runs smoothly and remains clean and safe. Every day brings variety, but your main responsibilities will include:

• Serving food and drinks to residents
• Preparing and delivering the residents’ brew and snack trolleys
• Washing up or loading the dishwasher, ensuring items are stored correctly
• Helping receive and store food supplies and ingredients
• Assisting with meal preparation and food production
• Supporting with waste management
• Cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dining areas
