SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Experience of working in a kitchen is essential, and a food hygiene certificate would be ideal, but full training will be given if necessary.

  • A fast learner with an interest in working in a professional kitchen
  • Willingness to adhere to food hygiene, and health and safety rules
  • Good organisational skills and time management
  • The ability to work unsupervised in a busy environment
  • Ability to work under pressure (the kitchen and BOH can get busy at peak times!)
  • Good communication skills and hard work ethic
  • Team player and positive attitude
  • Able to speak English

Responsibilities
  • Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitised
  • Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts
  • Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
  • Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation
  • Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
  • Keep the food and supply storage areas organised
  • Help with routine food prep tasks (such as chopping vegetables) when needed
  • Support with packaging - including labelling, making boxes, packing food etc
