Job Summary

The incumbent of this position is primarily responsible for providing customers with quality products and simple operations to assist a superior cook, such as food preparation, cooking, processing, portioning, assembly, and packaging.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, and process food using simple methods and techniques;
  • Perform the operations of peeling, washing and cutting the food;  
  • Perform the portioning, assembly and packaging of food;   
  • Ensure the cleanliness of your work area, equipment and furniture; 
  • Ensure proper rotation and storage of food products;   
  • Respect hygiene laws and regulations; 
  • The tasks mentioned above are not restrictive; other related tasks connected with this job and description or consistent with his/her capabilities may be assigned as needed.

 

Desired profile

  • Hold a high school diploma (secondary 5) or be in the process of obtaining one;
  • Ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility;
  • Ability to adapt and work under pressure;
  • Attention to detail and a sense of organization;
  • Certification in food hygiene and safety (an asset);
  • Experience in cooking (an asset).
