We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join a supportive team within a private nursing home in Ireland. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment, ensuring nutritious meals are prepared and served to residents with care and respect.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is an advantage but not essential.
• A genuine interest in working in a care home environment.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain hygiene standards.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

• Assisting with basic food preparation under the guidance of the cook/chef.
• Ensuring the kitchen and dining areas are kept clean, hygienic, and safe at all times.
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Supporting the serving of meals and refreshments to residents.
• Following food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Assisting with stock rotation and storage of deliveries.
