Learning Curve Day Nursery is seeking a flexible and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant and Lunchtime Supervisor to work in the setting during the afternoons. It is a varied role, both engaging with the children and ensuring they eat healthy and nutritious meals.

SKILLS:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role
• Basic cooking skills and knowledge of food hygiene practices
• Friendly, approachable and patient, with a genuine interest in working with children

• Cover staff breaks by assisting in the preschool room
• Prepare light snacks and nutritious tea according to the menu provided
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen and loading dishwashers and cleaning down at the end of each shift
• Adhering to health and safety regulations
• Work closely with nursery staff to ensure smooth operation of lunchtime routines
• Being vigilant with any dietary needs or allergies
• Be willing to adapt to the needs of the nursery, including occasional assistance with other tasks as required
