Description

The Kitchen Assistant Manager contributes to JuiceLand’s success by assisting the Kitchen Team Manager in executing KIT operations and supporting quality assurance efforts. This position is responsible for promoting and elevating our JuiceLand culture and upholding excellent standards for our crew. This person has an active role supporting operations by realizing directives from the Kitchen Team Manager and Head of Production & Distribution. This person is fully responsible for training and qualifying new machine operators, and overseeing all quality assurance including but not limited to inspecting produce, food production and identifying recalls.
This position reports to the Kitchen Manager

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 or more years of experience training employees to adhere to policies, quality and standards
  • Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays if needed.
  • Ability to manage operations independently
  • Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to manage multiple situations simultaneously
  • Ability to remain calm and quickly resolve any problems that come up
  • Ability to analyze problems and make sound judgments based on objectives, risks, implications, and cost
  • Ability to use discretion in providing directions to others. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Excellent organizational & communication skills.
  • Safe handling of large heavy machinery such as forklifts and pallet jacks
Responsibilities

Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Fills all roles and responsibilities of entry level crew members and is fully trained on all roles at KIT leading up to Assistant Manager
  • Ensures crew maintain high level of quality and consistency with all production
  • Supports the Kitchen Manager in implementing JuiceLand programs and initiatives by working directly with the crew to execute action plans that meet operational and organization objectives
  • Quality assurance; including inspecting product, tasting dishes to ensure they are up to standards, identifying and executing recalls
  • Communicates via Trello, email, etc. to all needed parties, according to JuiceLand standards
  • Able to use the NetSuite to obtain production goals for the day
  • Places orders and monitors and manages inventory stock levels
  • Assists in conducting crew member evaluations
