CONTRACT: PERMANENTSALARY: £12.56 PER HOUR

A co-educational private day school located in Carlisle. The senior school provides secondary education for 350 boys and girls aged 11-18. There are 150 children aged 4-11 in the junior school and nursery. We offer a core feeding of lunch for 500 students and teachers with some hospitality. This is a term-time only contract working 36 weeks a year and operates Monday to Friday. Additional benefit of this location is free parking on site.
We are looking for a talented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at one of our fabulous locations in Cumbria.
You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.
You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.

KNOWLEDGE / COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
  • Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.
  • Similar experience of customer and / or food preparation environment is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
  • Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
  • Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
