We’re looking for a kitchen assistant to join our team at Oulton Abbey Care Home.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR –

We’re currently recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant to join our catering team, to help prepare meals, snacks and drinks for our residents.
You’ll get to know our residents and gain a deep understanding of their preferences and dietary needs, allowing you to provide personalized meals they enjoy.
Kitchen experience and food hygiene training is preferable for this position; however, training and a detailed induction will be provided.
We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking, kind, and compassionate individuals who are committed to providing a high standard of care and quality meals to our residents. Strong leadership, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills are key to succeeding in this role.

• Serving meals and drinks: Ensuring residents receive nutritious, well-prepared food, with attention to their dietary needs.
• Preparing and making drinks: Including tea, coffee, and any special drink requests.
• Supporting kitchen staff: Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Washing dishes and cleaning: Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to hygiene standards throughout your shift.
• Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with the kitchen team and senior staff to meet the needs of our residents.
