Job Title: Kitchen Assistant
Location: Lowestoft, NR32
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour
Hours Per Week: 20
Contract Type: Temporary – 2 to 3 months
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 14:00 (core hours worked 10:45 – 13:15, paid for 4 hours daily)
About the Role
We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team in Lowestoft (NR32) on a temporary basis for 2–3 months. This role involves supporting the smooth running of kitchen operations, ensuring food preparation and service areas are kept clean, safe, and well-organised.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with basic food preparation and service
  • Ensuring kitchen and dining areas are kept clean and hygienic
  • Washing up, cleaning utensils, and maintaining food safety standards
  • Following health and safety procedures at all times
  • Supporting the catering team with daily tasks as required

Requirements

  • DBS check and references are required
  • Health and Safety Level 2 Certificate (essential)
  • Previous experience in a catering or kitchen assistant role preferred
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and safety
