As a Kitchen Assistant / Porter at Sodexo in Nuffield Health, The Manor Hospital Oxford, Beech Road, Headington, Oxford, OX3 7RP, you’ll play an important part in preparing and serving nutritious, comforting meals that support patient recovery and wellbeing. You’ll also help maintain a clean, safe environment in the kitchen and dining areas. With a cheerful attitude and great customer service, your presence can make a real difference in someone’s day. What you’ll do:

  • Assist in the preparation of patient food in a hygienic manner following all instructions given
  • Stock rotation of food, recording any wastage
  • Keep all areas clean and tidy
  • Clean kitchen, pantry, and restaurant equipment, crockery, utensils, and structure
  • Assist with stock takes, checking in deliveries, and putting away stock
  • Deliver catering supplies to wards, departments, and call orders
  • Fill in paperwork, e.g., temperature records, cleaning rota
  • Assist the manager and supervisor to achieve service level agreements and health and safety requirements
  • Report faulty equipment or near misses
  • Perform ad-hoc duties as and when required
