SUMMARY

We are seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Red Firs Care Home in Newark. This role is vital in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals, contributing significantly to their overall well-being and satisfaction.

Qualifications * Previous experience in a kitchen or catering environment is preferred.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• A passion for cooking and providing quality meals for others.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately and efficiently

• Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef.
• Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained.
• Help with the serving of meals to residents, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• Support the kitchen team with cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment.
• Participate in menu planning and food inventory management.
• Assist with special dietary needs as directed by the care staff.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain a positive and respectful atmosphere within the kitchen.
