JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and food safety practices, ensuring a clean and efficient kitchen environment. QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology is advantageous.
  • Understanding of food safety regulations and practices is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities
  • Assist chefs with meal preparation, including chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed.
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
  • Help with the setup and breakdown of catering events, ensuring all food items are prepared to specification.
  • Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas to uphold cleanliness standards.
  • Support the culinary team in managing inventory and restocking supplies as needed.
  • Follow instructions from chefs and contribute to a collaborative kitchen environment.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques.
