We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic kitchen assistant to join our established team at our residential care home. The kitchen assistant will play a key role in supporting our kitchen staff in the preparation and serving of meals to our residents.

Duties will include;

• Assisting with food preparation and cooking under the supervision of the cook
• Serving meals to residents in a timely and respectful manner
• Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment
• Following all food safety and food hygiene guidelines
• Assisting with stock control
• Providing support to the cook and other assistants as needed

The ideal person will have similar experience and hold a food hygiene certificate, however full training can be provided. The ideal candidate will have some knowledge of all relevant legislation as required by the Environmental Health Food safety.

THIS IS A FULL TIME VACANCY FOR 40 HOURS PER WEEK, HOWEVER WE ARE OPEN TO SPLITTING THE ROLE BETWEEN TWO CANDIDATES WORKING 20 HOURS PER WEEK.
