We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will support the kitchen staff in food preparation and ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly. REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in a kitchen environment or restaurant is preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary practices is an advantage.
• Familiarity with catering services is beneficial but not essential.
• Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards learning from others.

• Assist in the preparation of meals according to established recipes and guidelines.
• Support chefs with cooking tasks, including chopping, slicing, and mixing ingredients.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
• Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, including proper storage and handling of ingredients.
• Assist with catering events as required, ensuring timely service and presentation of dishes.
• Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to senior staff.
• Serve meals to customers or staff as needed, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices.
