Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our production kitchen team.
This role is key to ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and supporting the team in preparing and delivering outstanding food.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist chefs in basic food preparation, such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
  • Ensure ingredients are correctly stored, labelled, and rotated following food safety standards.
  • Prepare and plate simple dishes as directed by senior kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including work surfaces, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools using manual or industrial dishwashing methods.
  • Follow hygiene and food safety regulations, ensuring compliance with health and safety guidelines.
  • Work closely with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
