About the role Join The Salvation Army’s Melbourne Project 614, where we serve hot meals and hope to people doing it tough. We’re looking for a practical, reliable Kitchen Assistant to help prepare food, keep things clean and safe, and support our amazing volunteers. Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, this is a fixed-term part-time position, 15.2 hours per week, contracted until June 2026, based in Melbourne Project 614 - Bourke Street, VIC. Responsibilities
The Kitchen Assistant will prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, and support volunteers during busy shifts. Additionally, they will assist with local catering and food initiatives and report maintenance issues.
