The Shelley is a 32 bed residential care home set in the centre of Worthing, 10 minutes walk from the seafront. We pride ourselves on delivering excellent care for each of our residents in the lovely settings of our home.
We are looking to recruit a Kitchen Assistant who relishes working in a lively kitchen/home and has a desire to make a difference to the elderly in the daily service which we provide to them. You must have an eye for detail, enjoy housekeeping, a tidy environment and able to adapt to the changing needs of our residents and the home. We strive to provide a supportive environment to work within, with management available daily to support you to do your job well. We have a close knit team who know the home and this contributes to The Shelley being an enjoyable and fun place to work and provide care.
The full time position is for 2 x 12 hour shifts (8am - 8pm)

• Daily Cleaning jobs required in the Kitchen and care home more widely
• Making breakfasts in the morning
• Operating dishwasher and staying on top of dirty cutlery
• Answering resident call bells and the front door
• Setting up supper trays and giving our suppers to the residents.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
