Working Hours : Temp. Mon., Tues., Thurs., Sat. 3:30p-7p (28 hrs. biweekly) (Kitchen Assistant- Balwin Villa) 🔍 What You’ll Do:  * This position is responsible for assisting cooks, sous chef, and chef in providing high quality food to residents and for ensuring that all dishes are clean according to ware washing procedures. * In addition, the food services assistant is responsible for ensuring that the dining area tables and dining room is kept clean at all times. * Responsible for ensuring that dish machine temperatures are recorded, and that the water is tested to ensure the concentration of cleaning solution is correct. * Assisting with all catering functions. * Liaising with immediate supervisor, to inform, consult, and problem-solve regarding any serious problems/concerns encountered in providing service. * Ensuring the surrounding area is kept clean and maintained according to procedures.   * Ensuring all required information is exchanged between staff members during shift exchange. ✅ What You Bring:  . * Working in fast pace environment with tight deadlines * Lifting up to a minimum of 25 pounds. * Food Safe Handler’s certificate from a recognized institution.  * First Aid CPR Level C Certificate is required * Police Check with Vulnerable sector is mandate. 💙 Why Join Excel Society?   * Supportive and inclusive work culture * Ongoing training and professional development * Meaningful work that makes a daily difference * Opportunities to grow your career in a respected, community-focused organization
