Role Summary: This role will assist in overseeing the operations and team of the kitchen (BOH) of Chick-fil-A Shelton. This role will have accountability for - and focus on - creating, implementing, and overseeing various BOH processes and systems and/or accountability for BOH team related issues and development.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES AND AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY INCLUDE:

  • ensuring the BOH is executing CFA’s Winning Hearts Everyday Strategy with excellence (with particular focus on (i) craveable food and (ii) a welcoming environment (clean and safe)
  • a BOH cleaning plan
  • training of BOH team members
  • identification and development of future team leaders and supervisors
  • addressing performance issues of BOH team members and leaders
  • being knowledgeable of reports and implementing strategies, as needed and in conjunction with current BOH director, to accomplish goals based on those metrics
  • ensuring BOH is prepared for any and all inspections (Health Department, internal CFA audits and inspections (QIV and Quarterly SAFE visits), etc.) and in ongoing compliance with all requirements
  • ensuring daily, internal inspections are occurring relating to food safety (SAFE) and quality (ERQA)
  • inventory management (which may includes truck, produce and bread orders) and systems to track food costs and keep them within the target level
  • ensuring BOH has all needed equipment/tools/supplies
  • ensuring BOH equipment is repaired and maintained and that a maintenance plan is in place
  • systems to ensure food safety
  • In collaboration with owner and other leaders, develop and initiate strategies relating to improved operational results, higher customer satisfaction, business growth, and team retention
