Company Description Avaton Luxury Beach Resort - Relais & Chateaux (www.avaton.com) is seeking a motivated and passionate Kitchen Commis Chef to join our culinary team. As a Kitchen Commis at Avaton Luxury Beach Resort, you will work closely with our experienced chefs to assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality dishes. You will have the opportunity to learn and develop your culinary skills in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests. Job Description Assist in the preparation and cooking of food items under the guidance of senior chefs Maintain a clean and organized work area, following sanitation and food safety standards Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping, peeling, and marinating Assist in preparation of dishes Follow recipes and specifications to ensure consistency and quality Handle kitchen equipment and utensils safely and effectively Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient and timely production Attend training sessions and workshops to improve culinary skills Adhere to health and safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen Comply with HACCP protocols Qualifications Prior experience as a Kitchen Commis Chef or similar role is preferred Passion for cooking and willingness to learn and develop culinary skills Basic knowledge of different cooking techniques and food preparation methods Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
