Description

KPEP is a community based program providing both residential and non-residential services to male and female offenders including vocational programming. We have facilities in Kalamazoo, Benton Harbor, Battle Creek, and Muskegon, Michigan. This position is located in Kalamazoo. The responsibilities of the Vocational Kitchen Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Operate Kitchen
  • Ensure food quality
  • Provide safe food preparation, service, and sanitation
  • Manage ordering and inventory
  • Instruct and monitor students, residents, and staff

Education/certification requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ServSafe Manager certification
  • 3 years food service experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Lifting, bending, stooping and standing required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Pursuant to Executive Order 14042 all KPEP staff members are required to be vaccinated for COVID-19 or have an approved Accommodation on file with the Administrative office prior to the employment start date.
