Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our team at Quinnell House care home. We are a 52 bedded home, which is family run. As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and upholding food safety standards.
Duties:
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as putting meals in the oven, chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and assembling dishes.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency in food quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to prevent contamination and ensure the safety of our customers.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
- Embrace learning opportunities to enhance culinary skills and contribute creatively to menu development.
Skills:
- Experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to work well and collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in food preparation and presentation.
- Experience of working in a Care Home is a benefit but training for the right candidate is available.
