JOB OVERVIEW

We are currently hiring both part-time and full-time Kitchen staff for our Flaming Kitchen Downtown location, by College Station.

SKILLS:

  • Proficient in food handling techniques and knowledge of food safety standards.
  • Experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of meal preparation processes and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Languages: Fluency in both English and Mandarin are preferred for this position.
  • Valid SIN: A valid SIN number is required to file taxes.
  • Commute: Must be able to reliably commute to the work location at 472 Yonge Street.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety regulations and standards for quality control.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of meal preparation for daily service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including cooking equipment and utensils.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety practices.
