Mr Good Guy is looking for multiple-level chefs to join our team and help us celebrate the notion of Asian street food with a modern, urban twist at Mr Good Guy in Devonport! Including kitchen stewards and chefs. We have potential opportunities for full time, part time and casual opportunities.
Job Description

Support the team in delivering consistent, high-quality food production and presentation

  • Carry out food preparation tasks efficiently and in line with presentation guidelines
  • Keep all work areas clean, hygienic, and organised at all times
  • Follow strict food safety and hygiene practices, avoiding cross-contamination
  • Assist with dishwashing and general cleaning duties as required
  • Report any maintenance, hygiene, or safety hazards promptly
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and maintain strong team relationships
  • Contribute to achieving departmental targets and service standards
  • Be flexible and willing to work across breakfast, lunch, and dinner shifts

Qualifications
-

Previous experience working in a kitchen, ideally with some exposure to South East Asian cuisine (desirable but not essential)

  • A willingness to learn new skills and support the culinary team
  • Strong communication skills and a positive, professional attitude
  • Energy, motivation and reliability in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to hygiene, safety, and food quality standards
  • Flexibility to work across different shifts (breakfast, lunch, and dinner)
  • A strong team spirit and the ability to work well with others
  • Trade qualification or relevant hospitality training is an advantage, but not required
