JOB SUMMARY

We’re looking for a reliable and enthusiastic team member to join us at The Junction, Wortwell. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone with café or hospitality experience. You’ll be assisting with our chef with breakfasts, preparing light lunches, crafting coffees, maintaining a high standard of kitchen hygiene and delivering excellent customer service.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

• Previous café experience is preferable but not essential as training will be provided.
• Confidence preparing light lunches and assisting with breakfast
• Strong time management and the ability to stay calm during busy periods
• Comfortable working independently for part of the day
• Basic numeracy skills for handling payments
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude

• Prepare light lunches to our in-house standards
• Make a variety of hot and cold drinks, including barista-style coffees
• Serve customers with a friendly, welcoming attitude
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety throughout the day
• Restock items and prepare ingredients for the day ahead
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately when necessary
• Keep the café tidy and organised, including dining areas and kitchen spaces
• Complete relevant EHO paperwork - temperature, deliveries etc.
