POSITION DESCRIPTION

Assist with the basic preparation of salad, appetizer and dessert items in the kitchen along with cleaning, storage and handling of food and assorted kitchen produce.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• Must possess a current Food Handler’s Certificate.
• Basic Food Preparation knowledge and skills.
• Will require knowledge of proper food handling practices (to be taught by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

• Adhere to the limits of authorized policies, procedures, programs and budgets.
• Cleaning of refrigerator, shelves, racks, storage, tables and floors and other related kitchen equipment as directed and supervised.
• Empty produce boxes and food boxes and put contents in containers to be stored in their proper areas in the kitchen, ensuring proper rotation of food on stations.
• Clean, peel, etc. vegetables and produce and prepare salads as ordered.
• Prepare an assortment of dessert items as ordered.
• Comply with Club policies and procedures for the preparation, creation, and presentation of salads and desserts.
• Prepare salad items for service.
• Throughout the shift and at closing, responsible for cleaning and sanitizing workstations including, but not limited to: counter tops, fridges inside and out, and food pass shelving.
• Promptly report any unsafe conditions to management.
• Other duties may be assigned by a Manager on duty. These duties will relate to the overall maintenance of the Clubhouse area and be within the normal scope of the Kitchen Helper abilities.
