JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/ Kitchen Helper to join our team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Cashier/Kitchen Helper will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen staff by assisting with meal preparation, maintaining cleanliness, ensuring food safety standards are met and taking care of customers by providing them valuable information and assistance in ordering. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the food industry and develop their customer service skills. Restaurant hours are 11 am - 10 pm, Monday and Wednesday closed.

SKILLS

  • Experience in meal preparation or a background in the restaurant or food service industry is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure high standards of cleanliness and food quality.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients for meals, including chopping vegetables, measuring ingredients, and assembling dishes.
  • Help cooks with cooking tasks as needed, ensuring timely meal service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure that all food handling practices meet health regulations.
  • Support the kitchen staff during busy periods by providing additional assistance as required.
  • Stock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-equipped for service.
  • Taking orders from customers, packing, and communicating with the kitchen.
