LOCATION: DOWNTOWN TORONTO

Join our dynamic kitchen team at a prestigious high-end Mexican restaurant in the heart of downtown Toronto. We are looking for experienced and motivated Kitchen Staff to support our talented chef and culinary team. As part of our growing kitchen staff, you will contribute to delivering authentic, elevated Mexican cuisine for our brunch, dinner, and late-night menus.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years working in a Mexican restaurant or similar culinary environment. Experience in fine dining or high-volume settings is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Mexican cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in food prep, cooking, and plating.
  • Understanding of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food safety regulations.
  • Work Permit: Must hold a valid Canadian work permit.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment. Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.

Responsibilities:

  • Brunch, Dinner & Late-Night Menu Preparation: Assist in the preparation of high-quality Mexican dishes across all service periods, ensuring consistency, flavor, and presentation.
  • Kitchen Operations: Work with the chef and kitchen team to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure all food handling, preparation, and storage procedures meet strict health and safety standards.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Assist with receiving, storing, and managing inventory, ensuring all ingredients are fresh, stocked, and well-organized for smooth operations.
  • Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including prep cooks, line cooks, and dishwashers, to ensure the timely delivery of food orders during high-volume service periods.
  • Adaptability: Be prepared to work across different shifts (brunch, dinner, and late-night) and adjust to changing service demands.
