JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a kitchen helper/dishwasher to assist our team in a busy bakery.
If you are excited to learn in a supportive environment and are ready to bring dedication into the kitchen – join us as a Kitchen Helper! You will master a variety of tasks and be an essential part of our day-to-day operations as you gain kitchen experience and new skills.
The right candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to take direction, and communicate clearly and kindly with others.

SKILLS

  • Experience in a kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations. Open to obtaining a FoodSafe certificate.
  • Organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining cleanliness and order.
  • Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and understand instructions from staff and coworkers.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills related to baking and food service.

Responsibilities
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Wash, store, fill, and butter delicate moulds.
  • Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and reporting shortages.
  • Work quickly, efficiently, and safely.
  • Assist with various preparation tasks to support Prep Staff and Bakers.
  • Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure efficient operations during busy periods.
  • Be enthusiastic about the bakery’s success.
